In lieu of past and recent events, The Upperclassmen Music Group stands in solidarity with those on the frontlines advocating for change within the Black community. As members of the culture, it is our responsibility to take an active stance against the systems and beliefs that systemically prevent us from progressing forward.
Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. For 8 minutes and 46 seconds George Floyd pleaded for his life. For 8 minutes and 46 seconds members of the Minneapolis Police Department watched as George Floyd was MURDERED for a non-violent crime. This was no accident.
Please join us in supporting protestors who have been apprehended across the U.S. by participating in our #UCCaresChallenge. The UCMG has set a goal to donate a minimum of $8,460 to various bail out funds across the United States. The young creatives at The UCMG is kick starting this goal by donating $1,008.46.
Now, the UCMG is asking for YOUR help! Get involved by donating a minimum of $8.46 to help us reach our goal, by tagging 8 people to share our initiative, and by tuning in for the next 8 days as we educate the community on more ways to help.
We at The UCMG will not be silent. We will continue to stand firm in our beliefs. "We will champion the fight.”
